Wow, the last day of thing a day! What fun although a bit exhausting just trying to keep up with all the posts. I look forward to doing this again next year. My final thing a day is for my daughter Sienna. Coincidentally, last year's last thing a day was also for my daughter!
First, I cut her name out of vinyl using my Silhouette SD and put it on her new Spider man cup/canister, whatever you call those things. Now she can take it to school since it has her name on it. She likes Spider Man, Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
The 2nd thing I did for her was make her a Rapunzel paper doll from the Disney site. Actually, I made her the rest of the "Princess Army" within the last week. I had made her Belle in December as part of her Advent calendar. Belle is her favorite princess and she was happy with that for 2 months until I opened pandora's box! Last week she had her mid winter break and had some classmates over for a playdate. 3 girls and 1 boy. All the girls love princess so I thought it would be fun to make a couple more friends for Belle and they could all play with them. I made Ariel and Cinderella. Once she discovered ALL the princess were available (except Pocahontas and she still asks me every day if they made her yet), she wanted all of them. After all 8 were done (I decided to make Belle over since the original one was pretty beat up), she wanted more! I found Rapunzel and made that for her. I dare not tell her that the characters from UP are available too! I used the print and cut feature on my Silhouette to cut out all the pieces. That was a life saver!

Made this mug rug for a swap. My partner is a Girl Scout volunteer so thought i would center the mug rug with that theme. I hope she likes it! I still have a tough time with binding. Just need more practice with it. The back is just a green and white striped fabric. I used my Silhouette to cut out the trefoil and the words in fabric.

I went to a meetup in Bay Ridge on Saturday. The group is a card making meetup. This class was to make cards using Sizzix, a die cutting machine. As always, I have a lot of fun at these classes. I was gearing away from paper crafts but now seemed to be re-interested in them lately.
The frames in the middle is made out of fabric and embossed with an embossing folder.
I'm not quite done with the one with the star. I'm not sure how I will finish it.

Made this for a swap. My partner is a fellow lo-fi camera enthusiast. I modeled this holga after mine, with a flash. The challenge was to carve a stamp set that would fit in a matchbox and to decorate the matchbox with the stamps carved. It was fun although a challenge to carve something so small.

This creation also counts for Iron Craft challenge 8, which was Hometown. I bought this fabric from City Quilter a couple of years ago. It may seem touristy but I'm a native New Yorker and I love the fabric. I've been seeing a lot of Mug Rugs lately and since I signed up for a Mug Rug swap and never made one, decided to use the fabric to make one! I used my free embroidery foot to "write" brooklyn, ny on it, where I was raised. I think it came out really cute!

I made this for a swap. The photo is crap but I was in a rush. It really looks a lot nicer in real life!

I used the Silhouette SD and their flocked vinyl to make this shirt for a friend's daugther, who just turned 5. I think it came out really cute!

Made these for a swap, the tutorial is
here. It's so cute and useful. I just happened to have a butterfly button and a flower button that coordinates with the image where the button is. I will have to make one for myself.

I've been doing my thing a days but not getting around to posting them until days after. I made a pencil case using Noodlehead's tutorial
here. I love this tutorial because you can use a longer zipper and not have to deal with the problem of the zipper pull getting in the way while sewing. I don't know if that is a normal problem or a just me problem. This is the 2nd time I've made this within 2 months. I used my Silhouette to cut out the blue flowers in fabric to try out their new interfacing. Not bad.
